Suzanne Haskins

About Me

I joined Buttsbury Infant School as Headteacher in 2006 having previously worked in Basildon and Pitsea for many years. Prior to joining Buttsbury I was Headteacher of Northlands Infant School and had been Acting Headteacher of Bardfield Infant School, both in Basildon. Since becoming Headteacher I have chaired the Billericay Community Trust Management Board and am Lead Headteacher for the Billericay Educational Consortium. I am currently chairing the Teaching School Joint Practice Development Group which is focussed on ensuring that we provide high quality Continuing Professional Development for all staff working within our schools. I am also a Local Leader of Education and have supported schools particularly related to quality of teaching and learning and leadership development. I feel very strongly that high quality leadership at all levels is the key to raising standards within school and am delighted and extremely proud to be playing a pivotal role in the development of the Teaching School Alliance.
