Who is this course for?
For all subject leaders with a keen interest in developing effective subject leadership skills.

Outcomes
Delegates will increase their knowledge, understanding and skills of how to write an effective Subject Self Evaluation Form (SEF). They will develop an increased understanding of how an effective Subject SEF can provide a meaningful picture of standards for their subject in all Key Stages across their school.

The following will be explored during the session:

• What to include in an effective Subject SEF
• How to source the evidence you need
• 12 questions you should be able to answer as a Subject Leader

Who is delivering this course?
This course has been designed and will be delivered by two very experienced leaders. Suzanne Haskins is Headteacher of Buttsbury Infant School and a National Leader of Education. Clare Smith is Deputy Headteacher of the same school and is a Specialist Leader of Education. Both Suzanne and Clare are accredited National College for Teaching and Leadership facilitators and have extensive experience of facilitating both National College accredited courses including NPQSL and NPQML as well as designing and delivering bespoke leadership training including Developing Senior Leadership Potential and Developing Middle Leadership Potential.

Effective subject leaders will have a clear understanding of their subject across the school enabling them to identify areas for subject development in curriculum content, teacher confidence and pupil enthusiasm for the subject area.

Delegates will have increased knowledge and skills to identify strengths and key areas for development in their subject. They will have an increased range of strategies to be more effective in their role.
