New to Early Years (Primary)

Who is this programme for?

For experienced teachers and NQTs who are new to the foundation stage in September 2018 who wish to gain a greater understanding of how the mysterious world of the EYFS works.

Outcomes

Delegates will increase their knowledge, skills and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment. They will also gain an understanding of how to:

  • Create a stimulating, purposeful learning environment that meets the needs of all children
  • Assess in the EYFS
  • Use the outdoor area to compliment learning
  • Plan effectively
  • Provide opportunities for independent choosing

The first year of school can be daunting for both parents and children and it is important that we get it right.
