Who is this programme for?
For experienced teachers and NQTs who will be new to the foundation stage in September 2019 who wish to gain a greater understanding of how the mysterious world of the EYFS works.

Outcomes
Delegates will increase their knowledge, skills and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment. They will also gain an understanding of how to:

• Create a stimulating, purposeful learning environment that meets the needs of all children
• Assess in the EYFS
• Use the outdoor area to compliment learning
• Plan effectively
• Provide opportunities for independent choosing

The first year of school can be daunting for both parents and children and it is important that we get it right.

Who are the Trainers?
Shanie Caldecott is the EYFS Lead at Buttsbury Infant School. Shanie is a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) and has supported teachers new to EYFS in local schools.

Sally Player is the EYFS Lead at Quilters Infant School. Sally is an EYFS moderator and has worked with schools to ensure moderation is rigorous and accurate.

How will my School benefit?
Staff will have a greater understanding of the EYFS and feel confident to undertake the challenges of a busy but rewarding EYFS classroom.
